Yesterday we spent the day in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Monika and Jonathan for some engagement pictures. They both really like photography and had some cool places picked out for us to shoot. Check it out.

They found this cool tandem bike and Jonathan fixed it up. They plan to ride away on it after the wedding! How cool will that be?? I personally can’t wait. :)

Jonathan had really sensitive eyes. I spent the whole shoot apologizing to him for blinding him with our reflectors.

After we got done, Monika and Jonathan introduced us to the local sport of cardboard sledding. There was this massive hill and there were tons of people sliding down on scraps of cardboard. We really wanted to try so we all grabbed a scrap and headed up.

Ashley and Charlie got engaged in New York City so when they asked if we’d travel up there to do the shoot, we jumped on the chance! We started out with an amazing lunch at Tavern on the Green and then headed out to Central Park to get some “green” shots.

The skyline is SO different from Atlanta! :)

They thought I was crazy for making them stop on the subway stairs. I think it turned out awesome!

Charlie proposed to Ashley in a horse drawn carriage so it was only fitting that we do some pictures in one! Everyone around was very accommodating. This guy let us take pictures in the buggy without paying anything. (Although we did tip him… we are southerners you know!)

We took a short dinner break to let the sun go down and then we hit Times Square.

This taxi driver was awesome! He kept congratulating Ashley and Charlie and sat there for as long as we needed him to. He was so cute!

Thanks guys for an awesome shoot! We had so much fun and can’t wait for the wedding!!

We love doing engagement sessions outside of Atlanta, so we’ve decided to create a destination engagement session package (more info coming soon). We’ve been wanting to do a shoot in Gatlinburg, TN for a looooong time, and Ashleigh & Nick turned out to be the perfect fit for what we had envisioned.

We started out the day with a round of mini-golf followed by go-karts and games in the arcade. Then we went around the mountain for a few traditional engagement photos. We hope you have as much fun looking at them as we had taking them!
